The UCC Women's Florida Conference Mission

On October 6, 2011 31 Florida Women and two spouses made their way to Blowing Rock to participate in the 16 annual Southern Regional Meeting of the United Church of Christ Women. The Southern Region includes: VA. TN, NC, SC, GA, Fla, AL, MS, LA, and TX. Eight of the ten states were represented.

The Blowing Rock Conference Center, a UCC facility, is sequestered high in the Smokey Mountains. It is particularly beautiful in early fall. With awesome vistas, walking trails and a welcoming campus: The Ladies spent Friday night to Sunday noon with old and new friends in "A Faith Inspired Look Towards Wellness"

We encourage all the UCC Ladies to attend the 2012 Conference and enjoy the awesome experience the UCC Women offer.

 


"2012 Laywoman Nomination "

Each year the Florida UCC Women honor those women in our Conference who through their faith and actions have demonstrated the true meaning of being a Christian.
We honor one woman from each region of our Conference at our Annual Meeting, which is being held March 9-11, 2012 at the International Palms Resort in Cocoa Beach, Florida. There are very few churches with “official women’s organizations,” but we know that women in our churches do many things and are usually leaders who provide their talents to the betterment of their church and community. Each year we celebrate these women and honor their devotion and gifts.
We invite you to consider submitting the name of a woman from your congregation. nominations are due by February 20, 2012.

Meeting and Conference

March 9 -11, 2012

International Palms Resort in Cocoa Beach, Florida

 

Please join us in celebrating the 85th Annual meeting and Conference of the Florida UCC Women.  Join us as we come together and celebrate the blessing we received and anticipate the blessings we are going to receive as we move forward in our relationships with each other and with our God.  Bring a new friend; invite a women who has not yet enjoyed the Christian Fellowship of our annual conference.  Come for the weekend or for the Day

The United Church Of Christ Women's National Setting.

Women's ministry in the national setting of the United Church of Christ celebrates women in all their diversity. We cherish and work to be advocates on behalf of all women, lay and clergy, the young and the not as young! We see our task as a sharing one: sharing the incredible strengths and resources found in United Church of Christ women so that we may better be about carrying out God's ministry and mission in the world.

We give thanks that women's ministries is a partnership with each of you. Part of the partnership is hearing from you, through e-mail, regular mail or your responses to our focus inquiry questionnaire. Women are wonderfully creative and we are certain that a great deal is happening in your Conferences, Associations and local churches that would be of interest to other women and we invite you to share that information with us.
